Recently Tourism Sarnia-Lambton had the pleasure of welcoming Explore Ontario’s Katherine Palumbo to the region as she explore the best of Sarnia. Check out her recommendations below and be sure to plan your next vacation to Sarnia-Lambton with these helpful insights.
EAT & DRINK
Beer lovers will be happy explore two outstanding breweries in Sarnia which are @refinedfool and @imperialcitybrew.
The coffee house that takes the top spot is @blackwaterco with its hip vibes and open air seating.
For dining, Legacy Restaurant inside the @theinsigniahotel serves up authentic Italian and French fare and @thetinfiddler has smooth craft cocktails.
Travel a little outside Sarnia and you’ll also hit @altonfarmsestatewinery!
EXPLORE
With the shores of Lake Huron surrounding Sarnia-Lambton, hitting the beach is a no-brainer. Canatara Beach & Park is lovely, and Germain Park is a floral sanctuary.
Wawanosh Wetlands and Conservation Area has great hiking trails and the Blue Water Bridge offers spectacular views of both Canada and the US.
SHOP
There’s no shortage of solid places in Sarnia that support and sell locally made items, and @riverbankandco is my favourite! @commemoiboutique has chic women’s apparel and Urban Escape Inc has Hamptons-esque home decor.
STAY
I stayed at the @theinsigniahotel (it’s pet-friendly) which is an elegant Tribute Portfolio Hotel downtown. The hotel has a tropical pool, infrared saunas, fitness centre, cocktail lounge, Italian/ French restaurant and more.
