The park is located on Russell and Ontario Streets. It is named after Chief Tecumseh who fought with the British Forces in the war of 1812. The park was originally located on Wellington Street where Sarnia Collegiate is located and moved to its present location when the high school was built in 1922.
The park features tennis courts, a ball diamond, a skateboard area, and a children’s park. In recent years, Mrs. Norma Cox presented the City park with a new children’s pool and a splash fun zone.
