Est-1976 ,the Sarnia/Bluewater Wrestling Club is a not for profit organization that was founded …on the principle of providing young men and women the opportunity to participate in the World’s Oldest – and Greatest Sport–Amateur Wrestling. Our club has been giving young athletes the chance to test themselves for over 30 years. Back in 1976 a young coach named Bill McNamara saw a need for local boys to further their training outside of their respective high schools, so he worked with area coaches and athletes to organize the Sarnia Wrestling Club. SINCE THAT TIME OUR CLUB HAS GONE ON TO: win numerous Provincial and National championships : place athletes and coaches on Provincial and National Teams: host many tournaments and training camps with teams from all over Canada and the USA.
The legacy of the program started by MAC is not really measured in the trophies won but by the quality of person who comes out in the end. Our coaches have always ensured that our athletes have the opportunity to purse their dreams in a fun and safe environment.. Participating in the sport of wrestling changes people forever. As the saying goes—-
ONCE YOU HAVE WRESTLED EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS EASY.
