Petrolia
The Town of Petrolia has something to offer for everyone in your family. It is a vibrant and growing community nestled in central Lambton County. It is home to the Victoria Playhouse, Petrolia Discovery, Petrolia Farmer’s Market and much more!
Victoria Hall was originally built in 1889 as an opera house. It now houses Victoria Playhouse Petrolia and has become one of the brightest jewels in Lambton County’s crown. Victoria Playhouse hosts a professional summer theatre season from May through September. Do not miss out on the Jazz Festival held here every April. At Petrolia Discovery you can explore one of the only operating oil fields in the world that is open to the public, learn about the history and walk in the steps of the “hard oilers” who started a worldwide revolution. Perfect for families! If Dad is into beautiful cars bring him out to the annual Father’s Day Car Show held Father’s Day weekend each June.
New to Petrolia is the Petrolia Farmers Market opened in the heart of the town. The market boasts fresh, locally-grown produce and fruit, poultry, meats, and home baking. Open Saturday morning from 7 am until 12 noon from late May through early October.
