Surrounded by beautiful blue water, Lambton County is home to some of the most picturesque beaches in all of Canada. With summer quickly flying by, our students wanted to highlight some of the beaches they visited to help you plan your next beach day. Whether it be sunbathing and building sandcastles on a quiet beachfront, or jetskiing and parasailing down the shore of Grand Bend, Lambton County is sure to have the perfect spot for you!
In addition to our beautiful sandy beaches up the coast of Lake Huron, it is important to note that Lambton County is home to two blue flag beaches and two blue flag marinas. Being designated as a blue flag location is an extremely high honour as it is an internationally recognized eco-label, awarded only to those beaches and marinas that meet the highest standards. They are rewarded for maintaining excellent water quality, protection of the local ecosystem, educational content regarding the local environment, marine life and conservation efforts, and having qualified safety services and measures in place. Lambton County is home to 4 out of 25 blue flag locations in all of Canada.
