This beautiful natural area containing 100 acres boasts inviting walking trails, picnic areas, a pond for ducks and geese, and a memorial forest. There are 2.5 km of trails in this natural habitat area that is open year-round and managed by the St. Clair Conservation Authority.

When the early settlers arrived it was a vast marsh area and lake. Wawanosh Lake was a large inland area which was drained in the 1800s to create agricultural land.

The 2.5 km nature trail winds along a provincially significant marsh and includes several opportunities to get close to the many inhabitants of this wetland. The trail also takes you up to higher ground providing an excellent vista of the Wawanosh Wetland. This wetland is an excellent spot for bird watching and other nature activities. Faciltities: parking, washrooms, map available
