David Crosbie, President and Musical Director of the Sarnia Bluewater Chordsmen. We enjoy participating in community events, church services, fundraisers and social events etc. We just celebrated our 71st Anniversary and would like to be even more involved in the community than we already are.
The Chordsmen are available to entertain at convention events, conferences, incoming bus tours or any other inbound visitors requiring entertainment. We have capabilities to send a men’s chorus, one of 2 quartets, a small ensemble or a combination of all three. We can present entertainment from 15 minutes to 45 minutes.
We do not charge large fees and any money raised, outside of our yearly operating budget; goes to support charitable causes and youth music programs. In the past we have supported the Bluewater Health Foundation, St Josephs Hospice, Scits / St Clair (Great Lakes) High School and Northern High School music departments, Hannah Memorial School, Pathways Children Centre, the Aphasia Centre, Foodbank and Inn of the Good Shepherd. We also grant music scholarships for youth attending music camps or furthering post secondary education in the musical arts.
The bottom line is we just like to entertain! If there is any way we can enhance an event or out of towner’s visit we would appreciate the opportunity.
