Township of St.Clair
Home to approximately 15,000 residents, St. Clair Township is the perfect place to visit. Golf courses, museums, camping, calm countryside, and historic small towns can all be found here. Year-round ferries carry customers from Sombra to Marine City, Michigan and Walpole Island to Algonac, Michigan.
Home to both the Sombra and Moore Museums, visitors can expect to learn about Victorian architecture, pioneer living, and Great Lakes shipping. The St. Clair River Trail is an important link to the Lambton Regional Trail System, and will keep hikers and nature walkers occupied with beautiful views and historical points of interest. Golfers won’t want to miss “The Parkway”, this golf course has been renowned for its huge, beautifully-manicured greens, and where a short drive is a good thing!
Notable points of interest include: the St. Clair Arts & Crafts Show & Sale in May, Heritage Festival at the Moore Museum in June, lawn concert at Sombra Museum in July, St. Clair River Run 10K & 5K run/walk in Port Lambton, the Annual Blueberry Social in August, and the Downriver Craft Sale in September. If you like a good spook, visit Reaper’s Realm, open during the weekends in October. Visitors can expect an entertaining open-air bus ride through a frightening forest.
